The West African proverb says to “speak softly and carry a big stick,” and no one has taken that to heart more than Big Stick. Pushed around because of his quiet, self-reflective nature, he finally had enough and went and got the biggest stick he could find. Now he doesn’t have to speak at all: the stick says plenty.
